About the property

Welcome to The Docent's House, a home with a story worth staying for. For 18 years the woman who lived here walked visitors through the galleries of the Norman Rockwell Museum telling the stories behind the paintings. It's a home built for gathering — families and friends all under one roof. Inside you'll find a quiet tribute to the life of a Berkshire local: an educator, community activist, and longtime Rockwell docent whose legacy this home honors. Come for the Berkshires. Stay for the story.

Jaryn's Airbnb was the perfect home base for exploring the Berkshires. His home is exceptionally clean, well organized, and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay, including a well-equipped kitchen that made preparing meals easy. The beds were especially comfortable and provided some of the best nights of sleep we've had while traveling and at home! A heat dome settled over the Berkshires during our time there and Jaryn's air conditioning system kept us very comfortable. The woodworking and craftsmanship in the home provided visual delights and a feel of a Berkshire cabin with luxury. The location was excellent, just a short drive from the many cultural venues, restaurants, and shopping throughout the Berkshires, while still offering a peaceful place to relax at the end of the day. The area's hiking and nature viewing opportunities were abundant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend Jaryn's place to anyone visiting the area.

We had a great stay at Jaryn's while in town for a concert at Tanglewood. The house was comfortable, clean, and perfectly located. We were within a 15-minute drive of so many beautiful spots. Jaryn was a fantastic host, check-in was seamless and communication was excellent. Would definitely recommend!
